1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you submit. If you contact us by email (for example at [email protected]), we receive your email address and the contents of your message.
Information collected automatically. This site is a static website and does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Like most websites, our hosting and infrastructure providers may automatically log basic technical data — such as your IP address, browser type and pages requested — for security and operational purposes.
Local storage. The site uses your browser's local storage to remember that you have already joined the waitlist or dismissed a notification, so we don't show you the same prompt twice. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
2. How we use your information
- To notify you when the Cubictree Kickstarter campaign launches and share early-bird access details;
- To send occasional pre-launch updates about the product;
- To respond to messages you send us;
- To operate, secure and improve the website.
We rely on your consent (you actively submit your email) as the legal basis for processing. You can withdraw consent at any time — see “Your choices and rights” below.
3. What we don't do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not share your email with advertisers.
- We do not send spam — waitlist emails are limited to launch and product updates, and every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
4. Service providers
We use a small number of third-party services to run this site, which may process data on our behalf:
- Website hosting (e.g. GitHub Pages) — serves the site and may log standard request data;
- Form processing (e.g. Formspree) — receives and stores waitlist email submissions;
- Web fonts (Google Fonts) — your browser requests font files from Google's servers, which involves transmitting your IP address to Google.
These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and process data only to provide their services. We may also disclose information if required by law.
5. Data retention
We keep waitlist emails until the Kickstarter campaign and initial launch communications are complete, or until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data — whichever comes first.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA under GDPR and California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
You can exercise any of these rights — or simply leave the waitlist — by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
7. Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us their email, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International visitors
We are based in the United States and process data there. If you visit from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product and site evolve. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date; material changes may also be announced by email to waitlist members.
